Plasterboard walls, despite their popularity and convenience, are subject to various defects. Here are the main ones that require repair.
- Cracks: can be due to deformations of the house and mechanical damage.
- Holes and dents: can be from mechanical damage, as well as from opening the walls to access internal communications (water, electricity). Small holes can be from fasteners previously used to attach something to the wall.
- Blisters and bubbles: the main reason is water leaks.
Repair comes down to cleaning the seams, walls, reinforcing the frame, replacing drywall, puttying, painting.
