Old roof.
Roof repair. This house is over 30 years old. The roof has been repaired more than once. The roof had three layers of old shinglas and one layer of underlayment. The dry boards under the old roof are very well preserved. On one plane the rafters bent.
Repair roof.
The rafters sagged 2-3 inches at their widest. The rafters in this plane are very long. The supports are under the rafters. Such supports are made during the construction of a house. The rafters became even.
Ventilation.
I found ventilation pipes in the attic. Air from the kitchen and toilet goes into the attic. I took them out through the roof. Installed new caps on the exhaust pipes. I installed a special shingle lining everywhere, and a self-adhesive lining along the bottom of the roof and in the valleys. Additionally, I reinforced the valleys with metal sheets and replaced the ridge ventilation.
Roof no longer leaks.
The customer chose the color of the shinglas and it looks very beautiful from all sides. Three layers of old tile produced a lot of debris and a lot of old nails. The garbage was removed in a special vehicle. As a result, the roof no longer leaks.
When leaving, the dimensions of the roof are measured. According to this plan, the required quantity of materials is calculated.
