Old roof.

The peculiarity of the roof repair of this house is its complex shape with a large number of planes. This roof has 20 slopes, 5 valleys, 19 ridges and 10 wall connections.
The old roof, although it looked good, was leaking in places.
There are many trees around the house; the leaves falling from them fill the gutters, which need to be cleaned periodically. There were also leaves in the valleys. Removing the old shingles and backing paper created a lot of debris.

Repair roof.

Some areas have been repaired previously, but the causes of the leaks have not been eliminated. Most of the leaks were due to improperly installed gutter. The plywood rotted where there was a leak and had to be replaced.
During the previous renovation, insulation was not installed between some rafters. The required amount of insulation was added between the rafters.
I installed a self-adhesive lining along the valleys and eaves, and a special synthetic film was installed on the rest of the roof. When installing pipe connections and outlets, I additionally used roofing mastic.
The water leak has been fixed. Gutters have been cleaned and installed correctly. The garbage was collected and removed. I used a special magnet to collect metal nails.

The house with a new roof covered with architectural shingles became beautiful from all sides.
Any roof, any house requires attention and periodic maintenance. Cleaning of gutters, checking the condition of shingles, valleys and other roof elements should be carried out once a year, and if there are many trees around the house, then leaves from the gutters should be removed twice a year or as necessary.
